Surrounded by 22 hectares of picturesque vineyards and located in the unspoilt hills of Bologna, this charming country house is situated just 10 km from Bologna city centre. Carlo Gaggioli and his daughter Maria Letizia have been running their family business since 1972. The hotel has developed over the years around a small, ancient group of houses behind the historic Castle of Zola. The country farm is famous for its fine Gaggioli wine, produced in the vineyards. The villa is composed of 7 spacious and fully-equipped rooms where you can relax after a day spent enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings.

Food & Beverage

Borgo delle Vigne is a small and refined restaurant where you can find both traditional and innovative menus. In the internal room there are 35 seats and, during the spring and summer there are 50 seats in the nearby garden.

The restaurant is open on Thursday and Friday, on Saturday for dinner, and for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant will be closed from 1st August 2007 to 9th September 2007.

Every week the menu offers a special course. It is possible to eat à la carte or you can choose the ‘tasting menu’: a complete meal (a rich starter, 2 main courses, one second course, side dishes and desserts) together with a taste of a particular wine for every single course.

Gaggioli Borgo delle Vigne is a deluxe resort located at the Bagazzana farm in Zola Predosa, 10 km from Bologna city centre.

Travel Information

By Car:
From the A1 motorway:
- Exit at Bologna Casalecchio, then follow signs for Maranello-Bazzano-Vignola, along the alternative route SS 569.
- Take exit number 4: Zola Predosa.
- Turn left, and at the traffic lights at the railway, turn right.
- Go ahead for 300 metres, and then turn left in Via Raibolini, and continue for 1.5 km.

By Public Transport:
From Bologna train station, take the ‘suburbana’ train towards Vignola, and stop in Zola Predosa. From here you can contact the Agriturismo and ask for a pick-up service (to be booked in advance).

Important Information

Reception is open from 15:30 to 19.30. For early or late arrivals, it is necessary to contact the hotel and inform them of your expected arrival time. If possible, please always inform the residence of your expected arrival time.
