Area Information

Lucca is in a prime position for day trips to other historical cities such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano or Volterra. It is only 20 minutes from the coast of Versilia and 30 minutes from Garfagnana. You can take a short trip to Montecatini Terme and enjoy the thermal facilities offered.

Lucca still has its superb 16th century city walls, which encircle it protectively. With monuments, squares, fountains and museums, this medieval town centre is very pedestrianised. There are a lot of delicatessen shops offering a variety of wines, as well as handmade and local food products. The antiques market is on the 3rd weekend of each month.

Travel Information

By Plane:
From Pisa Airport:
- Take the A12 motorway from Pisa Nord.
- Join the A11 motorway to Florence, continue for approximately 30 km and leave at the Capannori exit.
- Go straight to the first roundabout and turn into Romana Street.
- Continue for 2 km.

Parking:
The car park is located at the hotel and is free of charge.

By Train:
From Lucca Station, turn right and, at the 2nd traffic lights, turn right again. At the first roundabout, turn left and then take the first street on your right (Romana Street), where you will find B&B Le Giare approximately 5 minutes away.
