Rifugio Delle Poiane

Dating back to the 1500s, Rifugio Delle Poiane is a historic country house with exposed stone walls and a quiet rural setting. Just outside Riparbella, it is surrounded by 13 hectares of fields and forest. Set in the Tuscan countryside, Rifugio Delle Poiane has been completely refurbished using natural materials and bio architectural methods. The owner lives on the property. Rooms are colourful and individually decorated. They have original features such as stone floors and wood-beamed ceilings. They are heated by a gas or wooden stove. An Italian breakfast is served each morning and out on the terrace during summer. The restaurant opens on request only and serves traditional Tuscan cuisine. Parking is free and the beach at Marina di Cecina is 20 minutes' drive away. Venturina thermal spa is 25 minutes away by car. Pisa, Siena, and Florence can also be reached in less than 1 hour.
